Senior User Experience Prototyper - Motional

2021 - 2024 // Boston, MA

Working on the future of autonomous vehicles raises many new questions for designers. For the Gen2 vehicle team, I designed and built functional prototypes for a wide range of UX hardware including LED lighting, automotive HMI, and networked prototype systems. Additionally I worked with the product team and Hyundai partners to design, prototype, and research the new specifications and features for the upcoming Gen3 vehicle. This role required cross-functional team collaboration with different departments such as engineering, regulatory, product teams in order to ensure regulatory compliance to all international automotive regulations.

Instructor - University of Colorado ATLAS Institute

2020 // Boulder, CO

I taught a course titled Design Process. This was an undergraduate class for students in the design concentration at the ATLAS Institute at The University of Colorado Boulder. This was the spring of 2020, and I adapted the course mid-semester to be taught remotely during the emergence of Zoom school.

Experience designer - The Franklin Institute

2016 - 2017  //  Philadelphia PA

As an experience designer at the Franklin Institute I designed and built interactive experiences that inspire a passion for learning about science and technology. This role included the conceptual design of interactive museum exhibits, the industrial design and prototype testing of individual interactive elements, and then working with contract manufacturers to build and install the exhibits. These exhibits experienced over one million children interacting with them on a yearly basis, and required adherence to strict safety regulations and durability requirements.

Co-Founder - Project Aura LLC

2011 - 2015  //  Pittsburgh PA
